Poet in the City and the Instituto Cervantes London invite you to a celebration of the life and poetry of Federico García Lorca, and the launch of a brand new translation of his Gypsy Ballads. This unique event marks the publication of a new offcial edition of the Gypsy Ballads translated by the acclaimed poet Jane Duran and Gloria García Lorca, Lorca’s niece, and published in the UK by Enitharmon Press. The event will feature both distinguished translators, together with Laura García Lorca, the director of the Lorca Foundation and another of the poet’s nieces, and Manuel Fernández-Montesinos García, his nephew, who will be sharing stories from the poet’s past.
