Patrons Scheme

The Poetry Archive website now welcomes over 250,000 visitors every month. They listen to over a million pages of poetry. And the numbers keep growing. Our education content is used by hundreds of thousands of teachers and students around the English-speaking world. We record a new poet somewhere in the world every week. You can already hear readings of – at the last count – more than 1,600 poems by 370 poets.

But although the Archive may look complete, there are many more poets we urgently want to include so that this becomes a truly comprehensive collection of the best English-language poetry, read – whenever this is possible – by the poets who wrote it.

Thanks to donations from our friends – including charitable trusts and foundations and generous individuals – we’re continuing to expand the Archive and continuing to make sure that all parts of it remain completely free to all our visitors.

Many visitors are buying individual poems and poets’ entire readings as digital downloads. Those sales help the poets themselves and also help the Archive to expand.

There has never been a better time to become a regular supporter of the Archive. Our Patrons Scheme enables our friends to make a regular and greatly valued difference to the future success and direction of this unique project.

Do think about becoming a patron yourself.

You can find more information about the scheme by downloading the PDF here. It's easy to join the scheme online or you can contact us via info@poetryarchive.org.
